Strawberry Leaf Tea
Strawberry Leaf (Fragaria x ananasa) is the leaf from the much loved strawberry fruit but is also packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber, promoting heart health, immune function, and digestion. Strawberries may also have anti-inflammatory properties and contribute to healthy skin and cognitive function.
Another main draw for Strawverry Leaf is the high amount of vitamin C found in the leaves.
Brewing
- Infuse 1 teaspoon of strawberry leaf in 250 mls of boiled filtered water for 3-4 minutes. If resteeping, infuse for 10 minutes.
- Let it steep and strain afterwards.
Cautionary
Individuals with known allergies to berries or a history of oxalate kidney stones should exercise caution.
