It is cultivated for its culinary uses including tea, imparting a distinct lemony flavor to dishes and beverages. Australian lemongrass is known for its strong aroma and is used in various cuisines, herbal teas, and natural health products.

Lemongrass also has antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties, along with being known as an effective stress reliever.

Brewing

1. Infuse 1 teaspoon of native lemongrass in 250 mls of boiled filtered water for 3-4 minutes. If resteeping, infuse for 10 minutes.
2. Let it steep and strain afterwards.
